Consecutive interpretation implies the speaker making logical pauses to allow the interpreter to convey the meaning in the foreign language. As a rule, consecutive interpretation is used at the events with small number of participants - negotiations, presentations, briefings, press-conferences, workshops and trainings.

Most typical situations with consecutive interpretations:

We select a good interpreter as fast as reasonably practical, but always remember that selection of interpreter largely depends on the criticality of discussion, type, place and duration of event.
